Framing Question

On my stair landing it's being called out for 2-posts to be in the wall to support the knee braces. Should these be framed to the bottom of the plates or should they be made a specific height? See attachment.

Given the way it is drawn, it is assumed that the brace will be installed at a 45 degree angle; as such, it will probably hit somewhere in the middle of the post.

It's not how I would design it for my use, to be honest. A few wet winters and it will be rickety. I would run a post straight down into a cemented post hole.

That's how it was originally done but the city wanted it engineered. It came back like this which is better because I need room for my car trailer :)

It is basically a triple 2x6 wall stud at each location, plate to plate. Note sure if they want you to cut in the 2x bracing set at the top or cut as blocking between. Since you have a separate ledger on the exterior, I would cut as blocking.
