I could not hit this one post out of the ballpark; I am afraid that the information is just not out there on the web at this time and date.
Of course, in the following few years if I run across anything else you will be the first on the GJ to read about it.

The only thing I can tell you is the wrench is marked made in Japan. As far as I could tell there was a Frank & Warren survival axe used during the Vietnam War, but I found it was made in the USA and not Japan, so I am still in dark as they say.
