No, not the same. The one I have is a more traditional style. Manufactured in Glendale, Ca. Very well constructed. I will try and post photos tomorrow.

It appears this company made mostly gun accessories in the 30, and 40,s.

Made of Meehonite steel
Just to assist anyone doing a further search, it's "Meehanite" and it's iron, not steel.

Meehanite is a trademark for an engineering process to make many types of cast iron. When a foundry advertises that it produces "Meehanite Iron" this means the foundry is licensed by Meehanite Metal Corporation, initially of Chattanooga, Tennessee but now based in Mequon, Wisconsin. The Meehanite process includes a series of specific processing steps, which, when followed, will produce, according to Meehanite, cast iron with uniform soundness, consistent physical properties and dependable performance in service

Meehanite was purported to be a malleable (ductile) iron. Some advertising for items made with it were described as "semi-steel." One of its properties was supposed to be shock resistance.
