Hi All,

It is with deep sadness that I report that Fred Oey, founder of AlphaGarage.com, passed away August 27th. I'm sure I'm supposed to give some kind of flowerly writing, but the truth is that Cancer *****. Plain and Simple.

The family needed a little bit of time after his death so I have been waiting patiently before making this announcement. There may be those who think an announcement should have been made immediately. Please keep in mind that this road has been a very difficult one for them and us. Please give us grace. There will be a memorial service for him in the Los Angeles area sometime in November. I'll post the details when I get them.

Fred was a great guy and we all miss him dearly. I know that many of you have fond thoughts and memories of him.

AlphaGarage.com was turned over to Fred's brother, Bert, about a year ago. I hope you will take a minute to send Bert an e-mail of encouragement if you are so inclined. You will find that being a 'good guy' runs in their family.

Bert can be reached at [email protected].

Thanks!
Eric

I lost my brother a year and a half ago and I know enough to know there is nothing anyone can say to help the grief. May God be with you guys in this time and fill you with the knowledge that he has moved on to a better place!

Great guy who showed immense patients with a novice trying to do a professionals job. He got me through it and every day for the last 6 years I have enjoyed his work with mine. RIP no more pain!

I was following Fred's recovery ever since this began. I am sorry to hear about the family's loss. He seemed like a really good guy. If his brother reads this, I have an order that I have been waiting to place for years. I'm sure many others do. I wish his brother success as he steps in Fred's shoes.
