Thought I'd share an unusual find with you guys. Picked up a large lot of tooling at an auction last weekend. While sorting though things I came across these little gems. Never seen anything like them before. They zip right though vinyl fabric and foam! The shop did a lot of work for processing plants so I'm sure they have something to do with that.

Are those blades counter-rotating like a twin saw?
Looks interesting, although I'd be happier with a guard of sorts.

It look similar to a plaster saw they use for cutting off a cast from your broken arm.

The blades don't spin, they just vibrate back and forth counter to each other.

Can't think of many uses other than just a novelty item or perhaps an aid in bill collection......

Found out what they are. Dehiding tool. Ouch!

Holey smokes. Just had to search ebay. There are no current listings, but if you search completed listings, there is ONE. SOLD for $399! Condition appears to be about the same as yours.
