I've giving away a Porter Cable drill/driver kit on ToolGuyd.

PC drill kit giveaway details & entry

No Fakebook required to enter, but you do have to leave a comment (there) to enter. That makes random winner selection and winner-contacting easier.

And here's my review of the drill. It's not uber-top-shelf, but it's a darn good drill, pretty comfortable to use too.

Drill kit comes with 2 lithium ion batteries, charger, and case. Retail price of ~$150.

Now, one last important question for you to answer here: what would you like to try to win in the next giveaway? Impact driver? Set of pliers? Pocket knife? Leave open-ended suggestions here.

I think a nice affordable torque wrench review and giveaway would be nifty. Lots of guys (myself included) can't afford to "hit the trucks" for tools we may only use a few times a year. Unfortunately, a lot of us end up resorting to a "good enough" mentality.

A quality knife sharpening review (perhaps coupled with a knife / sharpener giveaway) would also be interesting. Few people really understand how to properly sharpen and maintain the edge on their knives.

Entered.... Thanks for the review Stuey!!

Maybe give away a nice set of drill bits? I know I just loaned out a couple to my neighbor. How about a multi-piece set of pliers?

Consumables like drill bits are a little harder to give away since manufacturers usually aren't willing to promote them. I can dig into my budget to spring for a set, but there's not much justification.

I'll look into creating knife-sharpening content/reviews, and perhaps a hand-tools/pliers set giveaway.

I like giving things away. =)

I had an idea for a fun "write a caption" contest for a photo of a Dewalt product manager holding a miter saw box above her head, but was shot down. =(

Thanks!

I have one of their combo pliers/strippers around here somewhere. I actually like it quite a bit, but cannot put enough time in with it for a review for a little while longer.

her head ? Can we atleast see the pic ? A woman with a tool. . . :rocker:
Yup! I have permission to post in on TG, but either Dewalt PR doesn't want to ask her for permission to use it for the giveaway, she said no, someone else said no, or legal said no. =(

At the media event last June, it was time to break for lunch, and I saw a product manager moving across the room with a miter saw box above her head. Wait, WHAT? These new 12" sliding miter saws are weighty, so how is she managing that? I probably can't do that comfortably, or at least I can't get it above my head without help.

I then realized it was a dummy box.

Later on she posed with the box for a few photos. I wrapped the photos with black and yellow Dewalt colors and it looked like a really fun caption contest image. Oh well.

I've got a lot of tools but one thing I DON'T have and probably won't buy anytime soon is a Kreg pocket screw setup. Either that or a SnapOn screwdriver set.
