I was working in the backyard today when I saw a piece of red plastic sitting on the ground. I reach to pick it up and noticed it wasn't laying on top of the ground, but connected to something buried in the dirt. I dug them up and to my surprise, a pair of diagonal cutters appeared from the earth!

Having several pairs of Knipex pliers, I recognized the red handles immediately and immediately went to the garage to knock the dirt off. After a few minutes with a wire brush, I could make out the Knipex brand on the side and knocked enough away to open them up. I tested them on some thick wire and they still cut damn nicely! Sweet! I have them soaking in WD40 right now and will strip all the rust off, maybe a new coat of paint and new Plasti-dip on the handles.

Free Knipex diagonal cutters. 'Tis going to be a good year!

These pics are after a good dose of wire brushing:

Cool, I have 2 pairs of Vise-grips, a 24" pipe wrench, and a 1/2" breaker bar that I have found in the dirt on my property. A soaking overnight in a water/muriatic acid mix will strip them clean.

Replant them! They may grow into a pair of Knipex bolt cutters given enough time!:spit:
