Yeah...the first thing I saw was the engine stand and metal cart :bounce:

...but I've chased after those deals before only to drive a half hour and find everything gone

Those deals don't last...the locals already grabbed those goods.

I saw an ad a couple months ago and ended up getting some diesel timing kit, d rings, bushing installer, pickle fork, 3 gas cans, hose clamps on counter stand, etc.. all for free. I decided to sell the diesel timing kit on ebay and got about $400.
Pays to search the free section!~

I give away free stuff on CL fairly often. Anything even remotely decent will be gone in less than an hour. Heck, my used mattress was strapped to an explorer in 20minutes with 17 people replying. yuck.

Guy never emailed me back so I'm not going to bother driving 40 mins out of my way to see if anything is still there, probably anything worth it is gone but thanks anyhow.

This stuff was likely gone before the craigslist ad even went live.

In my area, curbside items do not last long at all. In fact, many times the item dissapears before I can drag another item from the garage to the curb. I have had two ladies out in the street fighting over a broken particle board coffe table. If it has any kind of metal in it, it may last 20 min tops.

Keep in mind, I sell (collect, repurpose, etc) old stuff, so for me to throw something on the curb it has to be completley worthless / useless, and my curb gets picked clean faster than throwing a piece of bread to ducks in a pond.

As for the 3 wheel engine stand, the curb is a great place for that, as these kind of engine stands like to fall over when being moved while loaded.
