You mean the ads are different for everybody? Looking back over the last 24 hours of my search history, I see Google searches for welding wire, welding magnets, and carbide rotary files. Why they're targeting me with LGBTQ advertisements is beyond me.

Don't forget your phones are listening to you.

^ no kidding.

I don't even own a cellular phone and I see this happening: I've seen it play out at my mother's house several times. Very weird.
Just walk around the house and repeat ANY word over and over and over so your cell phone can hear it and then watch what shows up on your computer.

I cruise all kinds of "news" sites so the ads I see are pretty bizarre - "end of times" stuff and all that.
Lot of crazy people out there for sure, but there are even more who just want your money and devise all manner of schemes to "target" you.

And don't let the "LGBTQ" thing bother you - everybody just wants to be happy. ;)

Are you guys seeing this in free parking or all over the site? Can someone give me a screenshot from a desktop?

Are we supposed to be pro LGBTQ on this forum? If so, I'll shut up.

This might shock you but ads are usually targeted based on search history. What have you been googling?

And yes, Id hope we'd be LGBT friendly here.
I don’t know man, I was getting that same ad for about a week on this site only. I certainly do not search for gay anything..lol

I flagged the ad a bunch of times, and finally stopped getting it. I still get the vampire breast lift ad, but she’s pretty good looking, so I don’t mind it.lol

Desktop screen shot would really help.

I can't remember the last time I logged in here in a desktop.

Are you thinking the Intel ad is only a full screen popup on mobile?

The inline ada are fine (I get it, the bills), it's the massive popup or ads that cause the screen to jump that get annoying

I'm getting the ads on the desktop too. The most annoying ones are when they change and its a different size, so the page jumps up and down as you're trying to read something. Seems to do it even after you scroll past the ad off the page.

How are you seeing ads? Do people not know about Brave browser? There are no ads whatsoever on here using it. Not even in-line. I don't even get YouTube ads.
You know ads keep the lights on around here right?

Not sure what's changed, but the full screen take over Intel ad is now gone from mobile

I see it's back on my cell phone this morning. . . The full Intel ad.
I noticed yesterday that there were a lot more ads that would resize and cause a mobile screen to jump.

I winder if it was related to my connection (I believe my router has some ad blocking) as last night I don't recall seeing as many?

Now that it’s been mentioned, yesterday was jumpy. Id start to read, and the page would scroll 2 or 3 times before it would settle.

Yep, exactly what I saw. Maybe more noticable as I was on spotty 4G, so by the time the ad loaded in was already scrolling down the page

Use the DuckDuckGo browser if you're on mobile ~ it should clear just about every ad or pop up known to man, in fact sometimes I have to use Google because it's the only way I can get a browser to redirect x number of times.

Friendly is one thing, being forced to see ads is another ~ I'd hate to think what would happen if you had actually posted that same image rather than asked a valid question about why you're being targeted...
