Free Sears $5 Surprise Points thru text messaging SURPRISEME

If you're already subscribed to SYW mobile alerts, then text STOP to 73277.

1) Make sure your mobile phone # is entered in your Shop Your Way Rewards Account settings.

2) Text SURPRISEME to 73277.
UPDATE: Latest text word is SURPRISE (might not work if you already did SURPRISEME last week)

3) Reply to the text message they send you with Y (Yes) to subscribe to their mobile alerts.
4) In the enrollment confirmation text message, click on the "special deal" link.
5) Ignore the useless barcode, and CLICK HERE to see the $5 Surprise Points.

They're good for either Sears or Kmart (sorry, could not get it to work on Kmart.com), but Sears has the larger tool selection. No minimum purchase, so you can buy something under $5 too.

Both worked for me, but when I click the link to check on surprise points, it says I have none. The weird part is, if I log in to Sears and look at my profile, there are several surprise points offers (1 of which is 1 of the 2 $5 on any purchase).

Both said they were $5 in points but I only got the first $5 in my account. Do I have you use the first $5 before I see the second?

Coupons are not listed in the exclusions, so Sears.com let's me use a coupon with the Surprise Points.

Get something $50 or more, apply coupon, and pay with points to use the $5 Surprise Points.

Got the points, placed an order, and the order disappeared. Talked to sears customer service and they have no record of the points being used or the order number (because I got to the confirmation screen that the order had been successfully placed). No way to get the points back. Oh well...

I'm already up to about $220 in merchandise for $21 from sears this year because of these $5 off any purchase deals they keep sending me.

Yeah that happens to almost every in store pickup order I do. I just ignore it.

On another weird note, got my confirmation email for the order that disappeared yesterday, today. Just 18 or so hours late! Now I'll have all but one of the 6 ball grip screwdrivers. All made in Japan and all for free!

You're about a week late for SURPRISEME. So I updated the OP with the latest text word for Sears, which is SURPRISE.

Seems hit or miss for who gets sent the free $5 points, though.

Thanks for the update! Followed the instructions in the the 1st post using the new word and got $5 from both Sears and Kmart numbers. How do you find out what the word of the week/day is for this sort of deal?
