Well i figured id post how i got my free sheet metal that im using for repairs on my 57,there are those shops that install sun roofs by me they cut out the blanks and just throw them away i asked if i could have some they said sure, great for repairs under 3 ft by 1.5ish.and all ready painted

Don't overlook stoves, washers and dryers,etc. that are out there on garbage day. A lot of it is 18Ga. and ready to go for many projects. This kind homeowner was thoughtful enough to dis-assemble this package for easy pick-up.


(just picked up a couple of garden swings made from 2 1/8" dia. tubing complete with some fantastic bends........all ready for some custom exhaust pipes)

I work maintenance in a insulated file plant and get all the 24ga up to 10ga scrap I want. You wouldn't believe what they call scrap at times.
