Interestingly...
When this catalog 1200 first came out it had a slightly different cover.
They added "Quality, Innovation, Performance" to the later additions.
On mine, it is blacked out in that spot. If you hold it up to the light, you can see where they covered the words, "The Choice of Serious Professionals"
IIRC they had a lawsuit from Cornwell about the wording on the original cover

This one?

Looks like I have a "rare" catalog :lol_hitti

I thought their catalog was always free?

Yep, always has been free with free shipping. I'm kind of shocked at how many people here didn't know. A lot of the manufacturers do the same. I just got the Carlyle catalog the same way yesterday.

Couple years ago I had about 12 consecutive years of catalogs and ended up trashing em. Now I realize people actually collect those things.

Mine arrived today, in a padded bag.

How do prices work, are they on the SO website. Or is it that if I need to know the price of something, I cannot afford it?

The biggest craze at my work lately is for the other machine mechanics to look up prices in that catalog and then tell me how crazy they are. Then later they come up and ask to borrow my bearing pullers because they broke their crappy ones.

I got mine today but yeah its weird getting a catalogue with no prices. I mean do the prices change depending on where you live? I understand that Sales would happen (if they do at SnapOn) however the expected price should always be there.

Most companies that operate a tool truck don't have prices in their catalogs due to the drivers being able to make deals and prices changing before a new catalog is printed. They all print a price list that is updated a few times a year, and they are harder to get than a catalog. My cornwell catalog came with a price list.

Or, to put it another way, each truck marks up according to the route and customer. Having a list price would make it too easy for customers to see what the true mark-up is, and perhaps allow for some competition.
