CPO has free 20v tool offerings when you order a Dewalt 60v Flexvolt kit.

Typically the free tools with kits are cheaper tools, but in this case you can get some of the better 20v bare tools for free.

I wanted a DCF899HB but only the DCF899B was listed as a free tool option. I called in and ordered the DCG414T2 60v angle grinder kit and they substituted the DCF899HB for free.

I've been hoping for a deal on whatever the cheapest Flexvolt kit is so I can take it apart and figure out how it works. 370$ is too steep for curiosity's sake.

update on your flexvolt order and 10% discount

Ok, heads up if you purchased this deal through CPO.

I preordered in the fall of 2016, flexvolt shipping times were estimated for the end of September. I received the free tool a few days after placing the order. I got this email on Sep. 21. It was written by Dewalt and forwarded by/through CPO.



"no action is necessary on your part"... hmm let's see about that-

I thought it odd at first because I had already paid... Anyway I waited it out and finally received the tool in January... but no discount. So I emailed CPO about how I was supposed to receive the discount and fonzballs replied with "you already received the discount when you placed the order".
me- "no I didn't"
"yeah you did"
me- "...nope"
...
me- "hello? what's the verdict?"
"your order is being reviewed and you will be receiving the discount soon blah blah"

(i paraphrased the above conversation for simplification)

So anyway I did end up receiving the discount (37.89) as a refund shortly thereafter, my suggestion to you guys is email CPO and make sure you get what you were promised for not cancelling the order. Although I had already received the free tool and I wonder how that would have turned out haha.


(I also purchased this deal through maxtool but got no such email from them, I tried to see if they would match the deal but got silence in reply)
