I'm sent these tools literally months ago to musicinabottle, I've been more than patient to get my shipping fee refunded, the last mail I sent explained to him that if he could afford internet access than he can afford to reimburse me the shipping cost for FREE wrenches.

All I get are excuses.

I don't need the money but it's principle. It has been months!

I bet now I get reimbursed (hate to get it this way) all I have to say at this point is now I've seen it all!

Wrenches were received on 7/27

I know I said no rush but common decency says to me that paying this type of debt back is a priority especially since it's peanuts I.E less than 20 dollars

The amount was printed on the flat rate box, what is it, 13.00?

That *****! In hindsight should have waited till you get the money But a guy with over 3000 posts I would expect to be OK Why can't people who post all these opinions about this and that day after day can't even follow through with a agreement ? If you agree to do something DO IT.
This kinda **** happened in the Garage Clean Out tool Exchange thread. Couple of guys who sent out gifts didn't get gifts.

Your right I don't care about the money, what I do care about is people that can't understand the difference between right and wrong, the people that might have an excuse for every wrong they do and expect people to feel sorry for them and just let it go, the people that always ***** cause they got no money yet can afford that beer or pack of smokes, the people that live off of other people's hard worker.

Sorry you're having an issue. I've shipped a few things to GJ members, (mostly trades) and luckily? haven't really had a problem. Did take one guy quite a long time to send his stuff, but he eventually came though in spades.

Wonder how many of the folks who get "outed" for non payment just go away, ie. are they hit and run artists on multiple sites?

Good on you for giving away your unwanted wrenches and good luck getting reimbursed for shipping, 1930.

That's a lot of tool goodness for 13 bucks -- chump change. And yet he doesn't pay. Kinda makes people not want to be generous in the future. Sad.

I once sent a nice TomTom GPS to someone for free on another forum because he said he had a new job and didn't have one so he was getting lost. I even mailed it on my dime. I never even got a thanks. I messaged him saying he oughta work on his manners, and he responded rudely saying he didn't have to say thanks because I offered it for free.

I'm fairly stunned 1930, and everyone else that has decided to horsewhip my ***! Here's the other side of the story.

I first conversed with 1930 on June 24th. I sent him numerous messages stating that my money is irregular. At the time, I had money, and I DID ask him how much, and could I go ahead and send it right away. I made several attempts to get the money to him. I finally received the wrenches on July 27th. Over a full month later. My finances had changed by then, and I explained that I was poor at the moment, but that I was extremely grateful and would take care of him as soon as I got some money again. I gave him my phone number. I admit that some time had passed, however I never had forgotten about his generosity. Around the middle of September he sent me a short but blunt and caustic message. The first message I had received from him since receiving the wrenches. I immediately wrote him via private message here and explained that I absolutely intended to pay him and that I was in the process of waiting on disability (yes, I have MRI's and X rays in addition to medical source statements and so on. I'm actually disabled and cannot work at what I did for 35 years) But as soon as I came upon some money, that I'd be seeking him out. I shortly thereafter, sold a few things and I did mail him $35 which was $15 for the shipping plus $20 to say thank you. I figured I'd hear back from him via the forum, but nothing. 1930 never called me, despite having my phone number, nor gave me the courtesy of contacting me a second time, but instead, decides to go public and whip up some heard mentality. It's true that I had taken a long time, but I had been communicating and reassuring even giving out my phone number. Ask Twertsy, about how I communicated and dealt with him when I received an SK socket from him one day out of the blue, and he told me to send him what I thought it was worth. It ***** that this had to go public, as I believe that this could have been totally avoided with just a little bit of polite respectful discussion in private. I really did take the time to try and pay 1930 up front, and peoples circumstances can change from one point to another, and through my situation, I did reach out to 1930 and explain that I was blown away to receive the wrenches, and that I'd return the favor, but that at that time (the time at which I got the wrenches) I was having issues, but would catch up.

One other thing......This has been on my mind since the beginning!

In the beginning you say you did have the money......Ok how about setting aside the money, didnt you learn that somewhere at some point, if you knew that I was sending you the wrenches and you had the money and you knew it would be less than 20 dollars than why not set aside 20 dollars?

Is that really so difficult for people?

Yesterday at some point I check the post counter for this thread and it was at 242, its nearly 900 views now and climbing, thats alot of bad publicity for one guy that screwed up!

Let that be a warning for any jackoffs reading this that may think they can screw people over, you can do it and then go away but eventually you will run out of forums/usernames/e-mail addresses and you will have no where to turn.

Do the right thing, if your not sure what the right thing is there is a book written long ago, within that book is a set of commandments, I cant give you the name of the book cause as far as I know I cant mention it online on this forum but if your unsure than ask your neighbor, if they dont know ask the other neighbor, eventually you will ask the right person and they will know what book that is.

Then, his situation changed (I also know about this) and he immediately informed you. You then, a month later with no response to his update, berated him with demands.

Perhaps I read the whole thing wrong but, if it's "not about the money," where's the beef?

By the way, I HATE weighing in on things like this but given the evidence presented, I don't see the point of this thread............

Well, to your point, yes, your wrenches are sitting on my workbench, awaiting (as I PM'd you) "the next batch." I've been waiting forever, with 6 different piles of wrenches/tools, for addresses from other folks included in, as I PM'd you, the next batch. I don't have the time to do a single shipment here or there. So I apologize you didn't yet receive your FREE wrenches yet. But, the fact remains, unless there are other PMs you didn't bother to include in your timeline of PMs above, I personally don't see an issue.
