Thanks to stalking on the GJ forums I gained some valuable space on my bench. I have seen a handful of guys using the insert method, but I couldn't figure out how to make that work on my bench. I have more pictures on my blog. Click HERE

While I like it, I'm not sure what the cantilever platform off the bench face buys you?

Hauling it up and down every time you need it sure precludes any convenience. If on a hinged or pinned pivot, I can't seem to see it from my network's firewall.

If in need of space, you need to put that grinder on one of those articulating parrellel swing arms like the t.v's in the hospital rooms or those used in ICU rooms for monitors and equip.

Heavy duty and two arms mounted on 3 pivot points.
Or go moveable pedestal on the floor.

If your grinder is in the way of bench space, the bench surface behind it would become a tool "sh&t collector" sadly in my world.
Even swing down does not get the grinder out of the way in that pic. Grinder still in the way of getting to the bench.

Swing arm that pushes over in front of the double bank box, winnah!!!!!!

The angle iron slides into the plate on the front of my bench...I put the grinder on the bottom shelf of my service cart when I am not using it...takes me 12 seconds to "install" the grinder and start grinding

Sorry Jason. My bad.

Access means I can only see the above pic or your blog text but no pics.

I'm impressed by 12 seconds tho. :)

Hauling 110v or 220v grinders all willie-nilly in the garage is not my idea of fun tool tossing tho. As long as it work for you, neat idea.

Could you show how the back of the tool brackets looks? Love the idea for my grinder and the small drill press that I have.

Thanks in advance!

Excellent. Thought that's what it would look like but wanted to make sure as I'm stealing this one for sure! Thanks!
