I am looking to do my garage floor with freeflow tiles. For those that went with such tiles, I'd like some opinions on my design below. Given the nature of the freeflow tiles and the fact they give off a different pattern at different angles, will the checkered pattern in the center be "too much" with the alloy and graphite tiles? 3 car garage with two doors. The single garage side is a foot shorter than the other side.

Edit: Picture appears to be flipped. So basically looking away from the house. On the left is where the newage setup will be. The door to enter house will be in the bottom left corner. The wall will be a light grey solid color.

We did the alloy and graphite here. Remember with each free flow tile it will appear to be a checker pattern. So we went with 12" tiles and used the 2x2 configuration. Same look, less busy

I'd stick with a single color inside the border because you'll already have the appearance of two different shades due to the construction of the freeflow tiles. If you do two different colored tiles, it will look like you have four different colors in that area. Here's a pic of the floor I'm installing right now in my garage. Inside the red is just graphite tiles, which still have a checkerboard appearance that look like two different colors.

BTW, are you sure that your garage is only 16' deep? That seems unusual to me. I have a similar 3-car garage and it's still tight being a bit more than 21' deep. My 3rd bay has a little extra depth, which is the opposite of yours. That's where I'm putting my cabinets. Anyway, below is the design I'm using on my floor.

I was afraid that my pattern would be too busy so I went with 3 colors in a 2'x2' instead of 1'x1' checkerboard type pattern. I am quite satisfied. CJDave.

The busier the design of the floor, the less things that should be in the garage, to show it off.

Thanks Bill. The walls will be a plain light gray color so I think it won't be too bad.

Saw that on your facebook and I really liked it.:)

I'm leaning towards having a single color again. Can't decide whether alloy or graphite. The garage has 3+ more inches but there is a step up. My plan to do the main floor and see it how it looks. I'll then decide if I need to raised section.

Thanks for pic CJDave. Awesome looking garage you have there.

Appreciate the feedback from everyone. Now to decide whether 2x2 pattern or single color in the middle section. Decisions decisions
