Helping a friend (really) working in a kitchen.
He installed the cabinets leaving a 30" gap for a freestanding electric range/oven.
He does not have a range now or know exactly what he's getting yet.
We can't flush mount an outlet in the wall and must use a surface mount "tombstone" type outlet. Wire will be coming straight up though a hole in the floor.
Where/how should the outlet be mounted?
Centered or off to one side?
Straight up or horizontal?
We don't know if all ranges have the same room (in the same place) behind them as a standard in regards to outlet placement.
Sorry for what must be a basic question, but, THANKS for any help!
