Yes it's a work pit, but I've made it for tob sit inside, because the terrain is not good for descend deep.

Looks good! I love watching European buildings getting built out of blocks! Looks like a very nice property you have, is the garden behind the garage yours as well?

What is that under the slab. The rows of black things under the rebar? Also why did you slope the roof toward the door side of the building, are you planning on adding on the the rear some day?

Lobstrisity >> Yes, the garden as an extension of Garage is mine.

Kingston >> The black things are a lost formwork, they're based between the concrete beams.
In french, it's a floor "poutrelles / hourdis".

I've do the slope toward my terrain, for don't put gutter on the other side because it's in property limit.
I can't do more high on the background because I'm limited on the building permit, i'm to the maximum.

Beautifull garage man.

1 question though: Why is the door & window at the back of the garage? It would seem loggical to me to have them installed at the front of the garage, so you dont always have to walk to the back to enter.

Please keep posting pictures :)

we don't see on pictures but the terrain is more narrow to the background (garden), it's for this reason that 2 sides don't have the same lengh.
I've put the door and window in back, in order to keep largest space for to put cars.

Not simple to explain this in english for me... :lol2:

Am I seeing this right? It looks like the wallboard has insulation bonded right to it? What a great idea and time saver!

also it looks like you bond it straight to the block walls, so you're not worried about moisture wicking thru the block walls? Or does the outside cover (bricks?) over the blocks make it moisture proof?

It's coming along beautifully!

Did I see a Toyota crew cab sport pickup in the background ? Yours? If yes, a lucky truck. It is going to have a nice place to rest between expeditions.

Yes my dog is an "bouvier bernois", it's a 7 years old female.

My pick up isn't a toyota, it's a ford ranger year 2005.

In first, with the glue points, there is ~ 1 inch between the insulation and block wall.
secondly, in exterior face, there is a waterproof paint.

Thank you all for your comments !
