Very nice!! I am always interested in garage builds in countries outside the US. I like to look at the building materials and construction. Is it expensive to build a garage there? And are building permits and codes a problem?

I think that type of construction is more expensive than a wood structure. Building permits are very precise, height, distance compared with the street and more...

I had since a long moment 2 old gas pumps, I wanted their restore to new but after a big wash and some finitions (editing, polishing...), they were in a good condition and more authentic.

It's "BOUTILLON volucompteur" of 1956

Fantastic ! By hazzard are you fond of old Volkswagen ? If yes, did you bought your Michelin's cards at the Valence's vw swap meet ?

England and France-------Built to last forever homes and garages. You could not get that done here even if you held a gun to the contractor's head. They don't mind taking your money though, and are glad to leave you with a 2 inch out of square foundation that will crack the first dry spell, and a framing that sits at least an inch off the lines.
Well, we do have a few good ones, when, and more importantly, if, you could find them.

C'est magnifique.

I think we will be fighting over the same stuff at Brocante fairs if we happen to be in the same part of France. You seem to be missing one of my favourite signs, I can't see a Piles Wonder" sign anywhere like the one I have in my garage.
