Just grabbed a Fuji Frenic Mini (FRN0012C2S-7U) to get my South Bend lathe up and running. 2hp 3 phase. I’ve read through the manual a few times and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

I want to build a small control panel with a three position selector switch ( Fwd/stop/rev) and an external potentiometer to control frequency… I THINK I have this part figured out for the most part.

What I’m also looking to have is two momentary switches for jog forward and jog rev. Is this possible with this VFD? The only parameter I’ve found will kick it into “Ready for jogging” but can’t seem to find a jog fwd/ jog rev parameter.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Terminal X3 should be your input for "ready for jog" function and needs to be assigned under code E03 as function 10 (enabled) and not 1010 (disabled), which I believe will turn your forward and reverse inputs to jog function when X3 receives a signal. To do the switching, you can add a set of momentary switches in parallel to the forward and reverse inputs so that you can jog the drive.

You can get a multi-pole / drum type selector switch for the jog function with both NC/NO contacts so that when the control is switched to "Jog", it will switch over control only to the momentary switches for forward and reverse and when it is in "Run", it will switch over control to the "FWD/STOP/REV" switch.

You could also accomplish this through relays, but a multi-pole, drum switch or switch with stackable auxillary contacts would be the simplest way, from what I am seeing.

Just my two cents after looking over the manual for a few minutes.
