Does anyone use Fresh Cab to keep mice out of there home or garage?

6 months later with the cooler days here in Minnesota and I am battling mice in my house. I thought I had everything sealed, but then again I was wrong.

at home we use 2 cats. But I think one of them is letting the mice in so she can play with them.

I put it in my classic car every year for the last several. The car gets parked in a pole shed with a gravel floor. The mice might get in the car but won't stick around.
Last winter I had zero problems, The previous year I had some issues.
IMO, It works better than anything I have tried in the past.

Wow that's great to hear. I am worried if I used it for it inside if it would push the mice into another room. Thoughts?

I can't decide if fresh cab works. We have a pretty hefty mice issue being surrounded by farms / grain and all the assorted stuff they thrive in.

I threw 2 packs in the old Tahoe I use only for snow days and still found "evidence" that the mice are getting in, though not as bead as before....

In the one storage shed, it has kept them off of stuff I care about though I found more leavin's in a un-treated corner where the packs are maybe 10 feet away. I have to put packs very close to anything I'm trying to protect. I recently scattered the place down with poison cakes.

I don't think it will work that well in a home, All though putting one in a closet or other small space would work o.k. For a confined space like a boat, camper or car that is parked seasonally it works great. I buy a new box every year for the inside of the car, use the year old ones for under the hood.
The aggressive ones will wizz on the bag, to kill the scent. Toss the stained pouches when the item comes out of storage.

In a home or garage I want them dead. I made a bucket trap last year for my shop, I was shocked to see the amount of mice I was catching.

That's my fear is it won't work and make the house smell funny. I put mothballs outside and I can kind of smell it in the basement. I used mothballs for years and had good success so will try it again.

.

I run 4 new pouches inside the car, And the year old ones under the hood and trunk.
In a Tahoe, I would place 6 pouches. Two in front, middle, and rear.
With food sources near, you are always going to be fighting the battle.

I just spent a week camping in MN. I killed 24 mice in 2 nights before I changed campgrounds. I even had them crawling over me while I was sleeping. I have never experienced anything like it. All I can say is good luck getting rid of them.

Fresh Cab doesn't work for me. I had a packet of it sitting on the transmission tunnel hump of my truck with a mousetrap on the floor next to it. I caught three mice in the trap despite the Fresh Cab being a foot away from it.

We use it at work. Seems to work well in confined spaces like tractor cabs and under hoods, but doesn't perform so well in open spaces. We haven't had any mice get in our tractor or research harvester as long as there are at least 2 fresh cab packets inside. Remember to change them every few months.

Question- should I get rid of my insulation in my basement laundry room between the block wall and frame of the house? I am thinking this could be a home mice would love to live in. However if I do this, would they move somewhere else in the house?
