Fresh Concrete Floor - Sealer? Epoxy? Something else

Howdy all! Trying to get some ideas for how to best treat the freshly poured floor in my pole barn/garage. I’ll have about 1200 sf that will be used for parking my daily drivers, tractor and a work bay with a 2-post lift for my old Cougar. A friend recommended just using a concrete sealer (MasterKure CC300SB) and others have said epoxy. Can anyone shed some light on what questions I should be asking before making a decision?

My goal is just a non-slip easy-cleaning surface that protects the pour and will hold up over time. Thanks in advance!

I am currently trying to decide between two products for my shop slab, Ballistix or Ghost Shield. Ballistix being a two-part coating and Ghost Shield being more of a sealer. The SMEs on this forum can provide better information on these products.

Not sure if you saw but Armorpoxy just posted this about Ballistix.

I will be curious to see what direction head.

Depends on budget and want type of finish you want (clear, pigmented, flake, metallic, etc.) Urethanes and moisture cured urethanes perform very well and withstand the beating a floor with heavy duty traffic gets. Normally an epoxy broadcast system is used underneath those coatings. Concrete sealers are cheaper and normally do not work as well in this type of environment and hold up nearly as long. Ballistix is newer product so I’m not familiar with it.

I contacted Semco, another of the products that was recommended and they responded:

For your garage, we recommend Titan shield. It can withstand high foot, vehicle traffic, commercial and industrial traffic. It has a semi-gloss finish and feels like truck bed lining. For more resistance, you can add sand or anti-slip.

I used ghostshield 4500 densifier and 8505 penetrating sealer. I have a working garage. Oil, antifreeze, and other fluids are going to happen. It might be the first drips of oil from the car you parked that never leaked before. Bottom line is the floor will be used. Can’t always get it cleaned up in 1 minute. Mine is been down for 3 or years, farm shop. Floor still looks good and things don’t stain if cleaned up in reasonable period of time. I highly recommend Ghostshield 8505.
One of the best features of posting your questions here is the number of great vendors who are knowledgeable and reputable. Talk with them and come up with the best solution for your place.

Thanks for the reply! SME can be 83 different things on acronymfinder.com. (guessing “subject matter expert”?)

I did seek out Armorpoxy’s post and it does seem like what I described wanting for my garage. I asked him a few questions in that post and pending his reply, I may hit “proceed to checkout”. I’m hoping to be applying it in a couple of weeks.
