So I've been a lurker for a while, signed up because i got sick of not being bale to see the pics. This site is an awesome resource and has led to a few internet rabbit-hole adventures. I've been an auto tech/mech for almost a year and a half. I got my AAS in Auto Tech from MATC in Madison WI and just started the Auto Tech BS program at SIU. More specifically the SIU program is the distance learning one they have set up with Truman College here in Chicago. So far its great. My job is a general tech at a small mom'n'pop shop on the near north side of Chicago, we do it all. LOFs to a new freakin engine. My toybox, err toolbox, consists of a hand-me-down Craftsman 54" double bank, a 26" Blackhawk by Proto, and a 26" Craftsman 9 or 10 drawer (ist got the flip lid and the 3 skinny ones on the top). Its full of all kinds of brands some SO, some Matco, the only Mac tools were gifts, tons of Craftsman, OEM, Lisle, not enough Gearwrench, and other assorted random castoffs from my dad.
