Hi folks...new guy here.
I am in the process of moving in with my fiancee...she has three sons and a double two door attached garage. She has agreed to let me do what I want with my side of the garage, so the first thing was to clean it out.
It's only a single bay...but I am having a wall built down the middle, knocking out the old boarded over window at the back and having glass block installed.
It will serve as a motorcycle maintenance/refuge for those times I need a bit of distance from the usual noise 3 boys can produce. In order for my Avalanche to occasionally fit in, everything will be on wheels...except for a mid-duty swing up work bench at the back under the glass block window.
It will have music, seating, rolling tool boxes, etc. The ceiling will be a drop ceiling with 4 4 foot T8 4 gang recessed fixtures. We will be putting in a powered roof vent and a set of louvers to move air in the summer. I am lucky that my climate allows for comfort most of the year.
I plan on doing it all in semi gloss white, with a painted design across both walls that matches my Harley. Trim colors will be Black and Red. The floor will be done in epoxy...a grey with black specks (going to ask if I can get black and red specks).
I came here looking for ideas and got quite a few...for that, thanks!
