freud saw blade questions

Hi, I've been using an abrasive blade on my circular saw, and found on this forum about a Freud blade. Is the D1748F?, DO748F?, blade a good general purpose blade, and are they durable? Any tips on do's and don'ts?
I seen a D1472F, what tool would use this blade, chop saw?

Thanks Woody, I don't do much of wood. I want something to cut mainly metals, tin, iron, etc.
I'm the for 40.00 bux, got to out last 40.00 work of abrasive blades, and won't have a problem with blade shrinkage?
