I've been lurking for a few years here now and never posted my double garage.

I'm going from this:

f10e48756d19dc3e37318a04e6ce4232.jpg

To this:

I've only been in the new home a couple of days and the goal is to have all boxes unpacked and out of the garage before the March ends. After that put my black and gray storage system back up and start the prep for 2 tone paint with a stripe.

Progress to follow as time goes.

Thanks!

nice space you have there. I love the mustang too.

Thanks!

Not many pics of it at the moment but I've had it for 16 years!

That's a nice upgrade! Are you still going to have the washer and dryer in the garage? If not then its an even better move.

Thank you. Washer and dryer will be indoors now, finally!

Not much changed but got 2 cars in the garage and the other bay is being used as a staging area for boxes from IKEA. We used their PAX system for our master bedroom closet and that has kept me busy for the last 3 weeks.

Also got a GMG DB pellet smoker/grill

The stain is from me forgetting to close a breather tank on my mustang.

Our backyard is in process of getting transformed also.

congrats on the new home,! im always lurking on here to get ideas of a tandem garage... mine looks identical to yours, but has a small 2-3" step up at the back and on the left side of the garage... I have gladiator cabinets, air compressor and tool box at the very back of the garage, and my work bench is to on the left side of the garage close to the door going inside the house.... I didn't know if I was going to like the 3car tandem garage but it quickly grew on me, I fit my old c10 truck in the back, a 01 Silverado behind it and and the wife parks her Tahoe on the left side and they all fit well. I really like the exterior door on the right on yours, it would be good access for the backyard.

im also in the process of getting ideas for paint and floor coating, I also thought about the two tone paint, you have any ideas on what colors/design youll be using?

Thank you!

I still have paint plans for the garage and I got a paint fan from sherwin williams to pick my color samples. My home purchase came with some big discounts for paint from them. I'm looking to do bright white ceiling, light gray upper half, darker gray lower and split with a red racing style stripe at the receptacle height.

Backyard is looking good.

Thank you. Finally a backyard that doesn't turn into a mud pit when it rains.

here is an old pic to give you an idea

Yeah it sure does look the same as mine. Looks nice with the two trucks parked in there!

I plan on using the whole back wall in the tandem space for all of my tools, car supplies, car parts and hardware storage and nothing on the side walls. I don't have much at the moment and luckily my mustang is pretty well built and modified so it doesn't need a whole lot of wrench time besides oil changes and belt changes (vortech supercharger).

The shared wall between interior and garage will be storage cabinets or racks, funds limited, just want to get stuff up and off the ground. Its a decent space too that can easily fit 2' deep cabinet and run for 18' from garage door to interior door frame.

The other wall will have the rubber maid fastrack for miscellaneous things such as ladders, push brooms, and extension cords.

Other than some storage solutions, paint the next thing will be lighting.

Thanks for the comments guys

675 sqft of concrete, 800 sqft of lawn, a whole lot of bark, irrigation for everything including a drip line running my entire fence line for plants and a gas line for the fire table.

Congrats on the new house. We've been through three new homes in 15 years until settling for an acre with an oldie needing remodeling. That said, I love the smell of a new house. Surprisingly, I thought California did block walls like we do here. I believe it to be in the early 80's builders in Phoenix went away from wood fencing to block. Love the wood, but it needs upkeep to keep it looking fresh. Aside from that, your home looks like my friends house with the tandem garage and patio. Its a nice floorplan.
Keep the pics coming!

Thanks! It's our first new construction home and it's been great to us. Our utility bills are down a lot even though we doubled square footage. The last home was a 50's style ranch with low pitch roof and open rafter living areas. It got very hot and cold even running HVAC constantly. The best part is it was a lateral move for us just extended our commute by 20 minutes.

I remember the block walls at all of my friends homes in west Phoenix area when I was stationed at Luke AFB. Out here in the Bay Area it's all pretty much wood fencing except for the homes that line up next to busy streets which get a block sound barrier.

I do need to treat the wood since my sprinklers hit the fence and we don't want it bleached or to rot any faster.

Thanks bro!

It's been a while since I logged in and checked this thread!

I'll need to get some pics up but not much has changed in the garage besides some shelving units.

Same here, mine got filled with stuff again. Plan on getting those ceiling racks from Costco to line the 3rd bay walls and finally move everything off the ground.

Going try to get or buy at least one storage solution each quarter. That's my new goal.
