Hello,
New guy here from Washington State! Looking to build a pole barn soon. Need some advice on where to get a kit or what to look for in a builder.

I'm just a hobby kind of guy. I have 2 daily drivers I want to park and an empty bay to work/park toys. I'm looking at 30x40x12 with a 10ft overhang to park toys on the side of the building. I'm looking at building 1900sqft of concrete around the building for a front slab and a little on the sides. I want to insulate it, but i'm not sure if I should do that myself. I will handle electrical and piping for compressed air.

Anyways, i'm going to continue looking through the builds on here see if I can soak up any more tips.

Thanks,
Wingman011

Welcome. I have been over many parts of SE Wa. Spending a fair amount of time in the Palouse region.

I have a similar type structure. 32 x 48 x 16 with a 8 x 48' covered "porch" for SHMBO.

Spend too much time on here and your build will get a little bigger and a lot more expensive...Speaking from experience.

Flatland Dave,
I'm sure, it gets bigger by the day! Any recommendations? I'm still debating on pole barn or metal structure. I'm still debating on 30x40 or 30x45. I'm still debating on Windows or no windows. Prices on everything are so high! Need to bring them down about 10k lol.

Pole Barn from local guy
30x45x12
16x10 OHD
10x10 OHD
8x8 rear OHD

best price has been 40k

Metal structure kit from General Steel
30x40x12
No doors just openings
16x10 door
10x10 door
8x8 door
1 man door
6 windows
Best price 17k
