Hello folks,

I would like to replace the entrance lockset on my front door.

My existing Baldwin lockset is what I would guess is a typical hardware setup for both of the front doors.

The distance between the upper deadbolt and lower passthrough locks is 5.5", and the length of the pull handle is around 8" from center-to-center of attaching points. Do these measurements tend to be standardized? In other words, if I go shopping tomorrow for another Baldwin entrance set will they be a direct replacement? Or are there differences between designs, and from manufacturer to manufacturer?

Thanks in advance.

5.5“ is common on escutcheon Locks. The length to the bottom bolt varies depending on the brand and model lock you choose. Most of the common brand have a bottom thrubolt that is adjustable a small bit, but you can still get the Baldwin Images line if you want that same handle. They still offer most architectural finishes.
