This is apparently what happens if you drop a well used Milwaukee onto a dozer track. Hopefully my Ridgid doesn't do the same thing lol

Haha well it doesn't look any better than the Milwaukee in the first post! I've been seriously impressed with this impact though. She's been through hell and still runs *close* to new

I don't have enough finger and toes to count the amount of times mine has fallen on the concrete from pretty dang far up. They are a tough gun for sure.

I have seen so many drill and impact drivers dropped from height on job sites. Most of the time, they are fine. I have seen people snap them in half under the trigger.

Forgot about the new one on the left that rides in the work truck! And the 'new new' bad mamma jamma on the right. She's got balls, just hope it lives as long as the others. Haven't even had a chance to use the baby one at the top, just bought it to throw in the side by side toolbox.

Yeah, when part of my job was building crates with company supplied drivers (either Dewalt or Milwaukee) we beat the $hit out of them, used them as hammers, etc.

I try to treat my personal tools nicely but they still get used hard, just part of the job

Edit: this is mine, and it was the first and last power tool I ever leant someone. A buddy was doing a project at his house, dropped it on the ground, and cracked the front housing. It still worked for another year before completely falling apart in the middle of a job.

Looks like $35-ish gets you a new front housing assembly. Should be an easy fix.
