Frost Guard Heat Tape

I'm finally going to run a water line from the house to my heated shop. About 300'. It will need to enter the shop above grade.

Here is the question I posted to Raychem but it is not going through. The installation guide shows only a single strand along the protected length. Doesn't seem like it should matter but I have a lifetime of "it shouldn't have mattered" consequences.

Is it acceptable to double the heat cable along the pipe?

It is (will be) a vertical Pex pipe coming from up frost depth and entering the sidewall 12" above grade. The Pex would be insulated then sheathed with pvc.

So the temp sensor would be near the top of the Pex pipe above grade (coldest area) and the heat cable run downward to frost depth. Then doubled back up the pipe for the plug to enter the building.

Thank you.

Advice?
Thanks

Is that rated for burial/ encapsulation?

How will you replace it?

Location and frost depth?

Insulation encapsulation is recommended
From the instructions:

General requirements for pipe freeze protection:
• FrostGuard heating cables may be used on metal and plastic
water pipes but not on flexible vinyl tubing (such as garden
hoses).
• FrostGuard heating cables are not intended for use inside any
pipes, for freeze protection of liquids other than water, or for
use in classified hazardous locations.
• Install with a minimum of 1/2” fire-resistant, waterproof
thermal insulation.
• Never use on any pipes that may exceed 150°F (65°C).
• Do not use an extension cord.

I'm in NE Ohio. Frost depth maps I've reviewed are kind of vague but 36" seems applicable. That's also about the depth of the water service entrance into the house.
How will you replace it?
Replace what?
