Frost heave in pole barn

Got my new garage / workshop. It is a 24' x 40' pole barn. Metal exterior with a concrete slab. I am planning on framing in about a third of it for a insulated woodworking shop and leave the rest uninsulated for the cars / lawnmower / etc.

My question is will the concrete slab move separately from the poles (due to frost heave) or will they move together? I want to put drywall on the walls and ceiling (not OSB, plywood, pegboard) and am wondering how I can frame it without getting cracks in the drywall. Can I just frame between the poles and have it nailed to the poles and the floor?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Poles should be pinned below frost line to prevent movement. If you book shelf your nailers, bottom sill tapconed to the concrete only then 1 1/2" above that another nailer fastened to posts for sheetrock will alow concrete to move with out affecting your sheetrock.1x trim fastened to bottom sill will cover sheet rock gap.

Just remember that most pole building trusses are not designed to hold the weight of a drywall ceiling.

Your slab should be fine...
