Looking for pictures of your frost protected shallow foundations or “Alaskan slabs” before the concrete.
The flat part under the slab isn’t much of a concern, but I’m laying XPS over the sloped sides of the haunch and was wondering how meticulous I really need to be with it. All the diagrams I find online show a perfectly uniform slope, but in the real world, it doesn’t quite work out that way.
I’m stapling pex to the foam so I put the vapor barrier underneath, so concrete will fill all the gaps that I don’t tape or spray foam up. Don’t know how much of an issue this will be or if it’s worth the time worrying about.
