I am planning on going with 4x8' frp panels on end to go around the bottom 4' of my walls. I am wondering if I need the moulding for the bottom edge which butts up to the floor or do I just caulk that and put a baseboard around it? Any help is much appreciated.

Marlite FRP panels wouldn't need caulk- unless your d/wall is on the slab.
But I would raise it about a 1/2" above the slab and finish with a baseboard material- preferably Marley (PVC).

We usually just use rubber cove base.

Remember to cut your **** joint strips off at base heigh. They look bad when you run the base over them.

Also, the flatter your walls the better it looks. When the glue dries, it pulls the FRP tight to the wall. Any defect show thru.
