Thanks for the heads up. This is a REALLY awesome iron and being from Frys you know it is legit. Unlike ebay and amazon where 95% of the FX888 and FX888D are fake.

Sent, if you already received from someone else pls let me know. I know of two other ppl that just asked me if I had one to spare.

EDIT: I just tested how quick you can receive a promo code using my throwaway email address. Within 30 seconds of signing up I had a welcome email in my inbox with a promo code for today's deals. The email didn't include images of the deals; but it is nice that they give you a promo code immediately, in case you are signing up strictly for a deal you already know about. So if anyone doesn't have a promo code yet, sign up and you will get one more or less immediately.

Thank you for the heads up on this. I have wanted one of these for a while, but they rarely go on sale. I wasn't aware that the ones on Amazon were possible knock offs. I know you have to watch out for Mitutoyo and Fluke stuff ebay, but was not aware that they were counter-fitting the Hakko FX888D as well.

Got one-thanks for the heads up. Been watching for quite awhile, but could never catch it. Shipping was killed already (Frys always does this quickly) but not too far from a store for pickup for me.
