I got this Snap On chess set and although it is really cool, I have realized that with a 6 yr old and a 3 yr old it is just not practical to have. When they first saw it, their eyes lit up and I could just imagine the pieces being lost, thrown and however else little kids tend to thrash things (now I know how my parents felt). It is just a waste to have this thing sitting in a closet so I figured I'd start here and see if anyone is interested in it.
I heard that these are awarded to some dealers and are very rare. It is a beautiful set & is made by a company named Drueke (http://www.carrom.com/index.php/Site-Content/drueke). The chess pieces are made out of extensions and sockets and are chrome and gold plated. They also have Snap On part numbers on the pieces just like their sockets and extensions. They are stored in a miniature top box that is made out of metal (trim is plastic). The board itself is made of hardwood and looks very well made. This set is brand new, never been used. The chess pieces themselves have no pitting, staining or anything else. The board is still in it's original box. Take a look at the pictures below and let me know if you have any questions. SOLD - dcummer
