Nothing worse than somebody joining this forum and breaking the posting rules just to try and sell their stuff.

Why don't you try your local craigslist, buddy? :wtf:

I actually don't mind guys joining a forum (any forum) to try and sell their stuff. I never see it as someone trying to take advantage and get my (our) money--I see it as someone directly offering us their stuff, and sometimes GOOD stuff, at a good price. I like that. So what if I never see another post from them again? If this guy was in Atlanta, I'd probably snag one of those chests.

I had that identical red Snap-On top and bottom; didnt know it was Snap On. Mine was a bit worse condition; some drawers didnt work and the top was welded to the bottom. I sold it a a garage sale a few years back for probably no more than 30 -40 bucks empty; maybee less. Whats that one he's selling worth?

i haven't seen a rule to that effect........it may be rude but not against any rule. there is one rule in the effect that only one advertising post is allowed but that one isn't enforced either.

Do you want to start seeing threads in other categories specifically to direct you to something someone is selling in the classified section?

Just wondering...:shocking:

Please allow me to apologize for creating what seems to be quite the stir in this thread!

I didn't realize I was breaking any rules, and as Brad said above, I'm just a guy trying to sell his stuff!

Everyone has to have a FIRST post at some point, right?!? Anyway, I'm at $500 for all five pieces . . . two Snap-On roll cabs/top chests and one Kennedy roll cab. Come and get 'em!

Krusty:

There is a matching top chest for the second Snap-On roll cab, almost identical to the one shown, just newer.

Again, five boxes, five hundred bucks. You can't argue with that deal. Well, I'm sure you could.

What model numbers are those 4 S-O pieces? If they could fit on a 36 x 36 (or close to it) pallet and you could tell me the weight, I could at least get a price to LA for them. They'd have to be strapped well and secured with cardboard and shrink-wrap - I'd hate to have them all busted up when I got them, but I'm tempted. I already have a 59a SO chest from the 60's. Freight could be the killer for me though. And for you, your time in having to deal with a non-local sale and having to not sell the 5 as a package.

Krusty, your ignorance runs second only to your arrogance. Every post you make in this thread (and private message) just proves that you have too much time on your hands and too little to do with it. You've admitted you have no interest in the items personally on more than one occasion, so by continuing to flame this thread, in my opinion, makes you look like a fool.

Yellowbox, I apologized for creating the stir, not for for creating the post. If you don't like the stir, don't follow the thread. Again, why people continue to post in a thread that they have no sincere interest is beyond me.

Vinko, I'd be happy to get you the model numbers on the four Snap-On pieces, as well as a shipping quote from my carriers, as usually I get very good rates. I sold a large yellow Snap-On KRL1032 or KRL1033, (I can't remember which it was) to a guy in LA about two years ago, and freight was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. PM me your address and whether or not its commercial and I'll work up a quote on my end.

Thanks,

Harry

What's your problem, sir? You joined last week, and posted your stuff in Classifieds, which I actually didn't have a problem with. What DID irritate me was you posted in another thread...this one...to point out your stuff for sale in classifieds. I see that stuff enough on other websites...it's called SPAM.

Krusty actually DEFENDED you on this...so you shouldn't be hassling him. And he makes an excellent point...if your items for sale are such a great deal, then why do you still have them? I looked on Craigslist in the area you're in, and see you have them posted there too. And you still haven't sold them. So maybe there not such a great deal after all?!

Yellowbox makes a good point too...you apologize for starting this thread to point out your stuff for sale in classifieds. That's fine, hey, you didn't know, right? Then you REVIVE the thread b/c you still haven't sold your stuff.

EDIT: Actually that wasn't quite correct...the apology, a week after you started the thread and everyone had long since forgotten about it, also conveniently revived the thread. Very clever.

Lastly, you posted your stuff for sale on here...this is a message board...so don't get upset that people are commenting on your stuff for sale and the price. Personally, I don't think it's a steal...it's about average price for what you're selling, considering all the work that will need to be done to refurbish them.

Harry

name calling is flaming sir...............:lol_hitti

good luck with your sale :headscrat

arrogant? well maybe.......but then again so are you.

ignorant? i don't think so..........anyone else who thinks i'm ignorant please let me know.

i would probably be interested in the snap on boxes if.............
1) they were reasonably priced
2) they were being sold by someone i knew a little better
at least on ebay you have feedback and paypal protection

i think your ATTITUDE (how did i do on spelling that time) will most likely keep them from selling them here.

your right i have way too much time on my hands..................

maybe i'll start a little internet spam business :lol_hitti

Krusty is not the one hard selling old boxes, in a desperate manner, is he?

It's reasonable to think, he must be doing pretty well, even with time on his hands.

Krusty is one of the members, that know tools of all types better than most.

Criticizing a respected member, makes you look bad!:headshake

Judging by his demeanor, and obvious short temper, I'm sure there are some other boards that have given him the same POV.

Krusty knows tools!!! Now go away!!

My demeanor is just fine, I don't have a short temper, I just don't have long tolerance for nonsense. I made a simple post on a garage forum regarding tool boxes that I had for sale, at what I thought was a good price. I figured someone, out of the hundreds or thousands of members, might have an interest and get a good deal.

I'm sure Krusty knows tools, I never accused that he doesn't. I'm positive that he knows more about tools than I, as I never claimed, nor would I claim to be an expert. Furthermore, I'm sure he knows cars and bikes as well as you've all said he does - I'm not trying to take that away from him either. Hell, I'd even agree that he's probably a good guy, a good friend and respected board member as you've all said! My last response to him was to simply state that his continued interaction in this thread is nonsensical.

Now, moving right along. I'm not hard selling, nor desperate by any stretch of the imagination. These boxes have been in my shop for five years, and can stay there for another five if nobody takes them.

Vinko: To answer your previous request, the Snap On box sets are model #KRA-380 and KRA-377B for the roll cabs, and KRA-59C and KRA-57A for the top chests. Please shoot me a private message with your address so that I can factor a shipping quote for the four pieces together.

my question is where are the MODS? Why hasn't a mod moved this thread out of the "tool discussion"?:headscrat

Mkdive, I'd be happy to see this thread poofed, and sent back to the classifieds. It was never my intention for it to spiral out of control. In my defense, a couple of people responded to this post with genuine interest, that didn't even bother following the link to my classifieds post . . . :headscrat So there was a method to my "madness!"
