It is getting close to happening and I have been trolling around on here for a year or so. I have a few questions and I will try to keep them all on this thread as I build. I am looking to build a 40x60x18 shop with doors from left to right on the side wall 8x7, 3-12x12 a window and a walk door. Black roof and black wainscoting and white or dark grey walls. There will be a 10x40 mezzanine over the small garage door utility room and bathroom. my first question pricing. does this look like a reasonable budget? I will be doing all the work except the building shell

Oh Yeah the Slab is $8-9,000 and whatever I decide to do out front

The in floor price seems high to me. I did mine for about 3500-4k (Canadian) in my 40x50 and didn't use any cheap stuff. That's with an electric boiler.

I only got one quote for that and I was told by many people they are the best. That is with a propane burner.

I agree seems pretty high. For that price i think you should be able to get a solid 10 foot high cinder block wall insulated with huge I beam trusses. I also would say ever 500$ is a decent rolling cabinet etc. There is a guy a couple houses down building one exactly like yours for 35. I guess it depends a lot on the location.

Radiant heat in a building that can experience massive air changes over just a few seconds of having an open overhead door. is just a dumb idea.
