Fuel Pressure Tester - Help!

Hello, long time lurker, first time poster.

So I would like to step up and buy a fuel pressure tester but there are so many options!

How common are schrader valves?
How common are some of the other fuel injection systems I'm seeing in the descriptions (Bosch CIS, Bosch AFC, MPC, Digijet/Digifant, GM TBI).

I know a little bit about "port" and "multi-port" injection vs TBI, but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm willing to buck up and pay for options, but only if they will realistically be something I might own. I can't see myself or my friends ever owning a Maserati or a Mercedes, for example. So I don't see ever needing to test that. But I would like somewhat reasonable coverage

Here are a few I was considering:

http://www.aetools.com/basic-fuel-injection-pressure-tester.html

Would these be good starting points? Or would you suggest something else? Where is the "sweet spot" between price and capability? How easy is it to expand the capabilities of sets like this? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the board!!!

It depends largely on what you're going to work on as to which set you want to purchase.

Often you'll discover that there are two main manufacturers of the larger kits you see. OTC and Star kits are rebadged and sold by many. Search the forum and you'll find other threads.
Schrader valves are very common and there are two sizes 3/16 Ford and a larger one for GM applications. TBI is the old throttle body injection. basically two injectors is a set up similiar to a carburetor. Many on the road but, cold start emissions standards have made them go extinct on newer vehicles.
Many new vehicles lack schrader valves as they are returnless systems.
Shop around for a decent kit. Cruise the online stores like tooltopia and the toolwarehouse.net for a better deal. don't forget Ebay as an option too.

I have this one. I have mostly(ok all) GM vehicles but it has adapters for other makes. It works for me.
