I just applied this product. I bought a single car and a two car kit. I applied the single car a week before the two car. After applying the 2 car I noticed a color difference in the 2 packs after drying. One of the container packs matches the previous applied kit and one is a shade lighter. There is a definite line where one pack was applied and the other pack in the same 2 car package. The directions clearly state to not mix the second package until you have applied the first. Either Rustoleum has poor quality control or they mixed up the one pack in the 2 car kit.

Has anyone done a full broadcast flake floor with Rust-Oleum epoxyshield? Thanks!

You can't do a full broadcast of color flakes with the Rust-Oleum kits. The reason is that the coating is too thin and will not accept all of the color flakes required. You need a minimum dry film thickness of 5-6 mils for all those chips to sink in and adhere properly. Rust-Oleum only provides for 2.5-3 mils of dry film thickness.

I would recommend looking at the epoxy kits by one of the vendors here. They are of commercial quality and a much higher solids content which will produce a minimum of 8 mils dry film thickness and up for one coat.

This is not uncommon for home improvement type of DIY garage floor coating kits. When using two kits or more for one coat, you need to mix the colored resin for the kits together first to ensure color uniformity. The article in the link below explains why you do this and how.
