Whats the best way to apply full or close to full broadcast ?

100% solids base coat, broadcast to rejection, remove loose flakes, 100% solids clear coat and a urethane topcoat for good measure.

Sorry my question was referring to how to apply the flakes ? By hand tossing or other methods?

"Chicken feeding" by hand is fine for large flakes. I recommend separating your flakes into as many batches as you need to do all the sections in your garage - you don't want that last section to have bare spots.

Ok, Im doing my epoxy coat floor tomorrow. My garage is 660sf. Im obviously doing it in sections but need to know as you broadcast the flakes per section, what do you do about the flakes that land on the places that arent coated yet? Blow them out before coating or just pour over them and dont worry about it? Im probably over thinking this but I really dont want to mess it up! Thanks in advance!

Don't broadcast to the edge or you will end up with stripes - have friends that learned this the hard way. Leave about a foot or 2 from the edge uncovered and get it when you do adjacent sections. You can sweep up any that land on the sections you have yet to do or use a leaf blower to blow them on to the section you already did, should be minimal if you leave the edge unflaked.

Thanks Srode. That makes sence. So I can go to the walls etc but basically stop short so there wont be any to blow off. I see what you mean about the stripe part. I would have done that!!! Thanks! I owe you a beer!

Don't worry about broadcasting on areas you aren't going to coat at all (with the mention of walls). With full broadcast you remove any loose flake, so any non-coated areas that have flakes will be fine. Just vacuum/sweep them up.
