I'm new here, introductory post is here.

I've done a bit of research/googling and I'm thinking epoxy base full flake with Polyurea top coats seems like the best option for my garage.

The full flake seems to be pretty DIY/beginner friendly as in you can get a very professional look on your first time.
I also like that overall it has a very thick application versus just polyurea.
Its also one of my favorite looks.
It looks like legacy industrial makes a good kit, they also appear to be on the forum. Are there many good competitors and how do they compare in pricing/quality. How is Legacy when it comes to shipping across the border into Canada, what kind of cost can I expect for that.Hopefully Legacy chimes in as I'm sure they know how their shipment works over the border.

I have a few more questions about application. I was hoping to do the vertical sections of concrete as well. How does prep for these areas go, looks like I got alot of prep work to get the sections somewhat smooth, just do my best to chip/ grind flat?
As for application, I thought I read that epoxy doesn't do well on vertical surfaces, can I still epoxy then flake the vertical surfaces or will I have to use a Polyurea base to stick the flake to?

Pictures of the vertical sections below. (images attached until I figure out the hosting)

We ship to the border, in many states free of charge.
The verticals can be done, I like to do them first. Make sure you measure them too.
Can even do the wood stairs!!

Does not have to be perfect prep like the floor. Rough it up best you can.

You ship to the border, or you ship to Canada?

So for the verticals you would just roll on epoxy, flake, scrape excess flake, and then Polyurea clear coats. and for measure, I'm assuming you mean account for the vertical square footage along with the floor square footage.

I had thought to do the stairs, when it comes time to actually do the floor I was going to rip out those stairs and build something better and apply the coating to it. The stairs the builder built are kinda ****.

Did some measuring.
looking at 900 square feet of floor and 150 square feet of vertical wall for a total project square feet of 1050.

XTREME SET 100 is the product for filling relief cuts it looks like, how far does one gallon go?
Does this stuff work on vertical serfaces as well or only for horizontal crack filling?

I've been looking at flake colors, the goal for the garage is white or close to it with red accents. I'm thinking white walls and red and white for the cabinetry. maybe a red stripe on the wall if it needs more color once its all done.
For the flake colors I'm thinking along the same line, white and black with some red.
something like B-220 or B-302 on this page. http://www.colorflakes.com/blends/

Looks like in the low 3000 USD range from Legacy, although I do see that there isn't a Canada option in the checkout, maybe I'll have to ship it to the border and cross over and pick it up, or are there other options?

Pick-up at the border. We will return to full Canada service once UPS streamlines the process, later this year.

Xtreme Set 100 is tough to calc due to how much sand you use, that said. Most folks use 1 gal to fill saw-cuts on a 30 x 30 square foot garage or approx. 60-70 lineal feet of filling with a little left over for small holes. Not for verticals, use DAP Concrete Sealant, (1) hour formula for this.

Thanks for the response, Its appreciated. The border is a 5 hour drive from where I live so its not out of the question but its not exactly close. I'll do a bit of research and when I get closer look into whether you guys have it straightened out by then.

one last question, on the full flake description on your website it says 7lb's of flake per square foot. Pretty sure that can't be right? 7000lbs of flake for 1000 square feet seems like a ton of flake.

It’s square footage/6
Must have been a typo. :)
