That looks like something one of the car audio installers I used to work with would do. lol
haha I've been an audio installer for 12 years and 4 guys ive worked with have made "custom" audio tool boxes but that one takes the cake!

Looks like an old Delco radio similar to the one in my grandma's '88 Caddy.

For some reason I can hear Billy Squier's "The Stroke" blasting out of this toolbox's toolbox.

Dayum!! that's just badly done.

I used to install car audio in a previous life and have seen a few abominations such as this one. once saw one (mac, as I remember) with components, subs, amp, dvd with a flip out screen and a neon "street glow" under the box with small neon tubes in the drawers. The guy's audio/light setup was worth more than his car!! some people's kids........

I picked up one of the previous generation radio-equipped Kobalt boxes a couple months ago. It's a big blue box, not the stainless monster you see in the stores today. It's a pretty convenient way to have tunes in the garage.

I got a closeout + open box + "it's closing time, just buy it and go" price for the top/bottom pair. I think they'd only been out on display for a day or 2, as they were still in perfect condition and hadn't been robbed of all the small parts.

It's no truck brand box, but I expect it'll hold all my skilled-amateur-use tools for a decade or more. I can also see where in a more rigorous environment, this box wouldn't last more than a few years. The drawer slides just aren't beefy enough to make it in a "real" shop.

My favorite part is how bashed up the subwoofer grills are, presumably from them falling down when tools were sitting on the side cabs. Either that or it's from people throwing things at it when the music was not to their liking. :)

This post cracked me up.

I can just hear it; "will you turn that dang toolbox down, I can't stand that-there Neil Diamond music!!!"
