Has anyone had any success controlling odors/fumes in a 2-car garage? I'm talking fumes like gas, parts cleaner, epoxy smell, etc.

For example, if I go to drain old fuel out of snowblower, pull off carb and spray it down with cleaner, the gas fumes / carb cleaner fumes will hang around in my 2-car garage for quite some time. Given that the temps have been around 20F lately, working outside or leaving garage door open is not ideal for a heated garage.

My only thought is a large portable paint booth (like this) and attach a charcoal filter / fan. Not sure how effective this would be though.

I use a chemical respirator, I also use a CPAP machine so wearing the mask really doesn't bother me. Sometimes I do work like applying body filler that produces fumes right before I go into the house for the night. The next day it's gone.

Unless your venting outside the fumes will linger. You could Install a louvered exhaust vent on an outside wall. You'll loose heat, but not get poisoned
