Fungus in garage

We will be closing on a house with a detatched garage next month if the water test is good. The garage has some kind of fungus on the front wall. Not sure how much or bad have not seen it. Inspector told me about it. Has anyone here had this happen to them? It is osb on the front and part of the side,the side has a storage area with a roof and that is osb and above has siding. The other side and back has siding on it. I will replace the front wood sometime next yr sooner than later hopefully. There is no heat or a/c in there but the down stairs has insulation and wood or drywall,not sure which i was drooling when went in there thanks

If it's detached w/o heat it would have been moist for a long time and I have seen OSB grow stuff in these conditions. All u can do (if it's not affecting your decision to buy) is rip down and replace.

Most molds will grow on anything. It's not the product but the conditions. Check moisture levels and ventilation.

I was run out of my home for 6+ months because of mold in sheet rock! ....moisture levels and ventilation!

The downstairs as far as i know has no ventilation but the roof has a roof vent and the upstairs has no ceiling. hould i leave the door at the steps open. What else can i do. When i replace the wood should i buy some of those vents like in a cellar?
