Funky penens 1/4 set

Here is an odd looking penens socket set. I'm guessing 50s?

Not a clue on vintage.
Here's one in which the sockets are also stamped "Challenger". It appears to be in the original box - at least it's the right color for Challenger.

At least pre 64 as it is still penens. Metal box with no plastic insert. Looks like the 50s shade of green.

I have a Fleet 1/4 that looks the same but has a more standard selector.
