So I went over lunch to check out their compressors and nobody around. Looking at tools. Nobody around. Ended up seeing their silver chair with a backrest on it and grabbed it and turned around and walked down the isle. All the sudden this young kid that works there was all over me. Can I help you? Nope, I am looking around, thanks. The kid followed me around like a little pup............

I "on purpose" lost him. So I come up and around to the register and the guy at the register starts talking to me, this young kid see's me and walks very fast up to the register and tells the guy that was helping me "I have this" and checked me out the register.

I assume someone wanted commission????????? Funny thing is that I am in sales myself and enjoy watching how others operate.........This was very cheezy in my book. I found it funny.

That's when you reply, "Um, you were? I thought you were just annoying me."

Ya, I guess I could have told him "if you were around when I needed you, you could have sold me $680 worth of stuff opposed to this little chair for $79. ;)

There's a sporting goods store I go to where they work on commission. And there is this little German lady that hangs out up by the register-never really seen her help anyone with merchandise. But as you're walking up, she'll ask if anyone helped you. If not, her little sticker gets stuck on your stuff. :) The management has to know what she does-it's very obvious-but she does it every time. Maybe they let it slide because she's a little old foreign lady...

the guys at northern tool work on commission also, and if they help me gather a cart full of the **** I need, I take their number.

As for the poor guys at Sears, all I need them for is to open the locked tool cabinets and get me the wrench or socket I need...

I had that problem at Lowes. I bought a stainless stove and they did not have it in stock, no problem, it be in, in three days, still no problem, so I paid in advance for it. It came in and was waiting for me at front door on a cart. But they would not left me move the cart,it had to be loaded by the boy and he was at lunch. I only had to push it ten feet to my trailer. But no they hung on the cart and would not let me move it. So after a hour waiting, I pull the stove off the cart, it was in a box.

"lady you a nice lady and pretty, but I paid for this three days ago, its mine, I have reciept, if you dont want your %$$^& wipped you might want to walk away"

she just stood there with her mouth on the ground. why would I want a 17 year old boy load my $1500 stove. I ended up dragging it out the door because I could not use their cart

Reminds me once when I pulled into a dealership to check out their inventory, I stopped to check out a vehicle when I noticed a salesman at the far end of a row of cars heading towards me.....I drove slowly past the rows and this guy was following me kinda like pac man after me. haha

When I worked at Sears, many moons ago, the only people that made commision were the people that worked in Appliances and Lawn and Garden.

But that may have changed.

I will have to ask when I go in again to look at the $468 compressor and a few air tools. ;)

They have to be on commision. I was looking at a 100$ wet vac last night. Guy said they need to order it and proceeded to get it rung up, that's when I noticed the 89$ one that was on sale for 59$ right in the middle of the isle. Maybe he could've mentioned that? It works great by the way.
