25 year old Lennox Pulse furnace. Recently water has started to drop from the bottom of this 2- inch PVC pipe where the black cap is held by a spring clamp. Seems like it started after I broke the 1/2" PVC tube coming out of the side of the two-inch PVC. Is this a drip leg that normally fills up then empties thru the half-inch to the floor drain? How do I fix this?

thats your condensation trap, take the spring clamp and black rubber piece off and drain the water out of it, its probably full (use a bucket or something to catch the water)

It will eventually drain out your broken 1/2" pvc piece. I just replaced the exact same furnace last year.

That is correct. The water fills the 2 inch leg and then goes out the half inch line. An annual maintenance item should be removing the black cap and draining any debris out.

I also just replaced my pulse last year. Great furnace, noisy as heck. Be sure to have it pressure tested every year.

The Pulse had a recall some years back. They used the wrong weld process to join the two HX's and they were cracking. If it hasn't been checked against the recalled units I would suggest doing so. And, for safety and common sense purposes get CO detectors.
