Furnace install finished

After much research I decided to go with a natural gas furnace for the new shop addition. The shop addition is 30 x 50 x 14. I have R19 in the walls with plywood covering and the whole building is wrapped in radiant barrier. I have not got the ceiling up yet but it is on the list of things to do. One thing that helped is we had a natural gas run by our house this year. Here the gas company ran the line and sat the meter for $100 and $50 turn on fee with the $100 being refunded once we start using gas. So basically no cost for initial service. The furnace route gives me the option to install A/C in the spring which is also on the short list of things to do. I went with a 96% 125,000 BTU unit with fan capacity to handle up to 5 ton A/C. I put 2 20x25 filters on it to get plenty of filtration. It is mounted on pallet rack with the filters about 6 ft off the floor and the discharge at about 12 ft. I will only use heat in this area as needed. Probably 1 or 2 evenings a week plus 1 or 2 weekends a month at the most.

air is lazy it will take the path of least resistance i would add a spiral duct off one side and run it 45' down the wall to move air to the opposite end of your your shop to prevent the unit from short cycling

acmikee I thought of that but last night when we mounted the elbow and vents we turned it on and could feel warm air at the diagonal corner of the building. I also have 4 60 inch commercial ceiling fans to circulate the air. If ducting is required it will be installed after the ceiling goes in.
