Sorry, not garage related.

I had a new Tempstar furnace installed about 2 years ago. just the last week or so it started cycling quite frequently. the Tstat is set to 60 overnight and in the morning when it brings it back up to 67 it will run for two or three minutes then shut off for a minute then run for two or three minutes, then shut off. it will repeat this until it eventually gets the house back up to temp.

Any insight?

I'd suggest you need to have a qualified service person come out and fix it for you. It'll waste a lot of energy short cycling like that.

Have you changed the filter lately?

What fault code is the cnt. board giving?

I agree, check your filters and check for a fault code. Most modern furnaces will go into a lockout if the furnace limits several times (3 or so)during a run cycle. Doesn't sound like it has done that, so your filters are probably OK. If filters are clean and no fault code is visible, call the installing company for service.

Also make sure your return air ducts are not blocked by anything. It sure sounds like a lack of air movement is causing the safety switch to open.
