Furring strips behind G rib siding?

Built a stick framed garage, 24x32. OSB sheathing, house wrap. Was going to vinyl side it but I've since decided to go with metal barn siding.

My question is, do I need furring strips on top of my house wrap? Or will the OSB and studs hold it enough? The garage will be insulated, heated/cooled at some point, I've read worries of trapping vapor between wrap and metal, is that a concern? Wouldn't that just run down the wrap and out?

Check with both the makers of the House Wrap and the Metal Siding.

If you are going to climate control the garage, let them know that also.

The manufacturer will specify but I would think so. They make perforated metal "hat" for horizontal furring. It allows a drainage plane and air movement behind the panel.

My new shop is 2x6 studs, 7/16 blandex sheathing, tyvek housewrap, and Menards steel siding with no furring. I didn't find any info on line, such as Tyvek website, that indicates that this could be a problem. Insulated with 3+ inches of spray foam and finished with sheetrock. Stayed in the 50s inside while the sheet rock was being installed and taped with one 1500 watt plug in heater when it got to minus 20 outside. I think it is sealed well enough that I don't have to worry about moisture from the inside, and the corrugations of the steel siding seems to be enough drainage and ventilation under the siding. Ask me in 20 years if I'm still around.
